We went to the sliding hill in Willsboro Sunday evening and had a great time. The snow was packed and plentiful; however, when we returned on Monday afternoon, the snow showed the affects of the warm temperatures. The snow had melted so much, bare spots on the hill were seen. The snow was very wet and, when you walked across, you saw water forming in your footprints in the snow. Below is a picture of the hill taken Monday afternoon. One thing that other people forget about living in the Adirondacks is the fact that we do not have to drive to a "big city" to obtain the things we need. For example, Willsboro has an IGA grocery store, a hardware store, a cable provider, restaurants, etc. You don't have to drive 30 minutes to Plattsburgh and shop the "big stores" if you don't want to.
