It appears that the Prickly Pear Cactus that resides in Arizona is useful for more than attacking guests! Online searches indicate that Prickly Pear Juice has some wonderful nutrients ... and the Jelly is VERY expensive and available only once a year. Purple potato bread (my own recipe) ... made with rye (light and dark), whole wheat, corn meal (with kernels and germ), molasses, lots of PREMIUM wheat germ, oat bran, brewers yeast, whole oats, milk, olive oil ... hand kneaded, and risen four times in the warm embrace of a glorious Arizona sun.

Shoulda gone out next day delivery (gonna KILL my husband one of these days!!) but the shelf life is VERY good with this bread, so delivery tomorrow is OK. Don't slice it too thick, you can LIVE on this bread and nothing else for a year!!!
