• Dec. 18, 2007 - RACI Announces Award Winners

The REALTORSâ Association of Central Indiana, (RACI) awarded its prestigious REALTORâ of the Year, Professional Milestone, RACI Community Spirit and Honor Affiliate Awards at the Annual Holiday Gala party on December 14, 2007 at the Kokomo Country Club.
 
The 2007 RACI Community Spirit Award was presented to Jill Dunn, President of Bona Vista Programs, Inc.   Mrs. Dunn has lead Bona Vista programs as an innovator and leader in her industry. Her passion for her “Bona Vista” family has earned many other community awards in the past.  This award recognizes a community leader in either Howard or Tipton County that has promoted or exemplified the quality of life, the services we offer, as a community or the spirit of giving community. The person, a non-REALTOR® or affiliate member, but someone who has given time and effort to promote the quality of life we work so hard to promote and sell.  Jill Dunn’s charge to serve the mentally and physically challenged children and adults in our community is a great example of this award. 
 
The 2007 Honor Affiliate Award was presented to Mike Moore of Moore Title & Escrow.  Mr. Moore is the third member of the Moore family to receive this award. Mike has served on the RACI Social Activities and Community Service committees. He played a big part in organizing all the volunteers during the RACI Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build in October of this year.  Mike serves the real estate industry with his time and talents and is not afraid to roll up his sleeves to get the job done.
 
Appraiser John Williamsonreceived the 2007 Professional Milestone Award from the Association.  The Professional Milestone Award is presented to a member who has had a distinguished real estate career; participated in RACI committees and activities; has conducted business honorably and has been active in the community.  Mr. Williamson has held numerous past officer positions and chairmanships in the REALTOR® organization. 
  
The REALTORS® Association awards a 2008 REALTOR® of the Year to a member that is active in the local, state and national association of REALTORS®.  They must also have local involvement in community service organizations and be faithful to the laws, regulations and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. The 2008 REALTOR® of the Year was awarded to Jeanne Scott & Jim Parsonsat the evening proceedings. Jeanne Scott was instrumental in the Habitat for Humanity Build this past October as she was the main chairperson for the RACI Blitz Build.  Jeanne also serves as RACI’s Treasurer and on numerous committees.  She is also involved at the state level on the GRI (Graduate REALTOR® Institute) Board of Governors. Jim Parsons serves on several RACI committees and Chairs the Technology Committee. Jim also chaired the fundraising efforts for the RACI Blitz Build that took a goal of $10,000 into $14,000 plus.  This husband and wife team has both been involved in many community activities Howard and Cass County.
