As many of you know we are building a Parade Float for members of each county to participate in their upcoming community parades. The first parade will be in Kokomo on Saturday June 27, 2009, during the Haynes Apperson Festival. Then it is on to the Circus Parade in Peru on Saturday, July 18, 2009. More parades are schedule for later this fall and winter for Tipton, Marion and Logansport. If you would like to volunteer to participate in one or more of the parades please contact Renee@RACI.org.

The parade float is coming along. Matt Brown, Ryan Minick, Steve Coverdale, and Mike Moore have been working to get the basic design done. We will soon be painting and decorating stages.

The Community Service Committee helps the Easter Bunny

Apr. 13, 2009

The REALTORS® Association of Central Indiana (RACI) Howard/Tipton Counties Community Service Sub-Committee set out to collect Easter Baskets and goodies for the Kokomo Urban Outreach Ministries Easter Basket Project. The members and affiliates were asked to donate items for the ministries to provide Easter Baskets to area children.

As the week went on the RACI office became full of baskets, candy, goodies, and monetary donations. Renee Chandler, Chairman of the Community Service Committee for 2008 was very pleased with the response from everywhere and everyone. She said, “This has been a very fun and successful event and knows that the children and their parents are so very appreciative for the help. I am so glad we were able to help.”

With the help of the community the Kokomo Urban Outreach Ministries provides approximately 600 baskets to the community each year.
