RACI Members participated in the Walkway of Lights Christmas Parade in Marion on Saturday night, November 21, 2009.


RACI members volunteered to decorate the parade float.
They put Christmas decorations and lights all around.

Area REALTORS donate Wii and Television to Boys & Girls Club

Children at the Boys and Girls Club of Grant County will be able to play a Nintendo Wii at the organization.

The RACI Community Service Sub-Committee of Grant County put together this donation of a Wii, Wii Fit, a game controller and a flat-screen TV for the children to enjoy. This replaced equipment that was destroyed when an automobile hit the building a few years ago.

Linda Robinson, Cindy Korporal and Barb Messersmith presented the equipment to the organization. The Boys and Girls Club of Grant County will give us recognition for this generous donation by displaying our name on the equpiment.
The RACI Community Service Committee of Grant County is planning a Christmas party the for the Boys and Girls Club.

Highlights of the Scholarship Golf Outing

The annual RACI Scholarship Golf outing was hosted on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Wildcat Golf Course in Kokomo.

There was a putting contest hosted by Ryan Minick and Steve DeLon of First Republic Mortgage Corporation. Proceed from that were donated to the Pat Pencek Scholarship fund. Andy Hardie from The Hardie Group was the winner of the putting contest and he donated his winnings back to the scholarship.

The winners of the Golf Outing are:
1st Place team was: Mike Grant, Steve Oakley, Dick Moore, and Mike Moore
2nd Place team was: Kathy Harbaugh, Bill Craig, Michael Korus, and Neil Thompson
3rd Place team was: Larry Helmberger, Alice French, Josh Helmberger, and Jarod Helmberger

The Scholarships also raised money by selling string, mulligans, and setting up a bet-a-hole on hole #15.

The Photo Blanket Raffle drawing was during the dinner after the golf outing. The winner of the blanket is DeAnna Holloway of Solidarity Community FCU

Cookout & Carry-out a Big Success

The RACI Scholarship Committee hosted a Scholaship Fund Raising Cookout at the RACI Association Office in Kokomo on Wednesday, July 22, 2009.
We served over 50 lunches and raised over $300 towards funds for our scholarships. We added carry out this year and lots of people took advantage of this options. People said the food was awesome, especially the desserts.
The Scholarship Committee would like to thank everyone for supporting the cookout.
And a special thanks to the Scholarship Committee for all their hard work on the cookout.

Pumpkin Contest at Grant County Networking Luncheon

A Networking Luncheon in Grant County was on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Old National Bank Community Room.
The Programs Committee sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest. Members voted be placing pennys for votes at each pumpkin. The money raised on the voting was $12.50 and it went to the United Way.
First Place: Peggy Richards from Metro Real Estate Company, won a FREE page in the REALTOR Offered Real Estate magazine

Second Place: Judy Fitzgerald from Maidenberg Real Estate, won Pumpkin Pie delivered
Third Place: Grace Meyer from Meyer & Meyer Real Estate, won a tin of cookies and chocolates

The Community Service Committee had a flower bouquet raffle to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club Christmas party. Kathy Harbaugh was the winner. The raffle raised $90.
