Not Your Everday Showing. |
Last night I had met some clients at a property on Pine Island that has almost 9 acres of land. This particular property has been vacant for some time now and is rather unkempt so I was cautious about where I walked. Although I did not encounter any gators or other reptiles I did have the chance to see some Island wildlife up close.
As I was locking up the house my client whispered to me to come over and take a look. Right by the fence line, not 50 feet away, stood a bobcat. These cats are not rare on the Island but they are very stealthy so catching a glimpse is unusual. As we all stood there admiring the cat we suddenly realized why she had not darted off yet. Scurrying not 15 feet behind her were two cubs.
We stood quietly watching the cats as they wandered about before finally disappearing into the woods. While some may be scared of such an encounter this only deepened the interest of my clients and made for an unforgettable showing.
