You could almost call Pine Island the “anti-Florida.” No crowded beaches. No high rise condos. No fancy resorts. No sprawling subdivisions. But to those who live here, it represents all that Florida used to be. It’s more than just an island; it’s a way of life, much as it's been since the first white settler put down roots in 1873. Noticed your photo with a fishing rod. i live in Kailua-Kona Hi. I'm a realtor here.............if you ever get this way call me...........and if you have a need to send a client this way, I'd love a referral from you. Our fishing is probably a little different than yours: Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Ono and spearfish. I am on the board of directors of our Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club and have been for many years. It's not uncommon to release a 500 lb. Marlin here.
