Want to learn a little history about Pine Island Florida?

You could almost call Pine Island the “anti-Florida.” No crowded beaches. No high rise condos. No fancy resorts. No sprawling subdivisions. But to those who live here, it represents all that Florida used to be. It’s more than just an island; it’s a way of life, much as it's been since the first white settler put down roots in 1873.   Click here to watch the documentary that the local PBS channel did on our Island.

Noticed your photo with a fishing rod. i live in Kailua-Kona Hi. I'm a realtor here.............if you ever get this way call me...........and if you have a need to send a client this way, I'd love a referral from you. Our fishing is probably a little different than yours: Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Ono and spearfish. I am on the board of directors of our Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club and have been for many years. It's not uncommon to release a 500 lb. Marlin here.

Hey Kay,

Yes I am an avid fisherman.  Here we have a great mix of inshore and offshore fishing from Tarpon to Grouper.  We do not have the pelagics though.   I did live on the east coast for a while and had a blast fishing offshore for tuna, dolphin, wahoo, sails and marlin (white mainly.)
If I am ever your way I will get in touch, and you do the same.
