Florida Wind Insurance Savings

Oct. 16, 2008
Categorized in: Educational

I know that no one is interested in saving any money and I am wasting my breath, but I am full of hot air so….  If you have not done so already, call and ask your insurance agent if a Wind Mitigation survey would be beneficial to you.

I hear a good number of quotes from different insurance companies and there is a substantial discount given if your home has had this process completed.  Now I am not saying that if you have the inspection completed you will automatically save money.  The purpose of the inspection is to identify how you can strengthen your home against hurricanes and reduce hurricane damage exposure in our state.

If your home is not up to any current building codes, has a 50 year old roof, and only 3 out of 7 windows then you may not want to spend the money on the inspection.  If it is, however, the inspection findings are reported to the state, which in turn can be given to your insurance agent for some savings.

Click here to see what saving you may be eligible for using the Florida Wind Insurance Calculator.

If you would like to know more about having this inspection completed on your home call me today!!!
