The Term REALTOR®

One of my biggest pet peeves as a REALTOR® is the way people mispronounce the word REALTOR®... real-ah-tor... instead of real-tor.   I wonder just how many people when searching for a REALTOR® type in the word realator instead REALTOR®???  Or how REALTOR®S when using the term forget to put it in all capital letters. As a new agent eons ago this was drilled into my head and I was corrected until I knew how to pronounce the word as well as write the word.

Hi Monika

Jeff, visiting chilly NH from not-so-sunny-at-the-moment-but-warmer Southern California. Love your blog - graphics, great articles, goog use of white space. BTW good luck with getting the hearing set up.

BTW the mispronouncing of Realtor bugs me all the time. I don't like to nag people about it but...

Hi Jeff...Thanks  for the visit  and thanks for the compliments!!!
My big pet peeve is mispronouncing the term REALTOR...I hate it!!! I did a 5 minute rant on it today in an ethics class I taught...I think afterwards nobody wanted to say a word in fear that they'd mispronounce it and set me off.
