Group OrganizerIn Ocean City, Maryland today we are experiencing the now tropical storm, formerly hurricane Hanna, beating on our shores. It's a pretty nasty day, not fit for man or beast.
A truly dedicated real estate professional that I work with, went to each and everyone of her listings, took their porch furniture off of decks and balconies, checked for leaks, and generally secured these properties. She wasn't asked to do this. She is just a conscientious professional that is an invaluable member of the real estate community.
Good stories never get told. Bad stories are told time and time again. I asked this agent if I could put her name in this post ,and she wanted to remain unsung. I respect her even more.
Do you have others in your community that deserve some recognition? Tell us about them. Sing their praises. Let's continue to nibble away at the negative perception of the greedy real estate salesperson. It's our duty to promote our industry . Great individuals who do great things every day, shouldn't go unrecognized.

Group MemberI feel much better after reading this. During a time when the market is down, our fellow agents are falling by the wayside and our sellers and crying in to their coffee, it was wonderful to be reminded that we are so much more than what the majority of the public views.
It is so very easy to fall in to the depression that is sweeping the Nation and to simply set by the side and get a bit stiff. This is motivating stuff. It is stuff that I've done, and my clients are always so appreciative. I find it enlightening and respectful that agents recognize this about others within the profession.
Thank you for making me feel better. Thank you for reminding me that I work with wonderful people and that I love my job!
Group MemberWe do simalar things here in our office as well. We keep an eye on all our properties and if something needs to be done we call the owners and let them know. We believe this is a True Service of a Realtor.
