O.K. maybe I’ve taken some liberties using the term “greats”, but certainly a great time was had by all Friday night August 15^th at the home of Anne and B.T. Trumpower. The Trumpower’s played host to a softball reunion party where all of the former players from the Coastal Realty team, the Coastal/Condominium team and the Tio Gringo’s team gathered to hear and watch, via video, the great stories and game plays from days gone by.

 

A long, long, long time ago several little boys, I mean men, got together and formed a softball team. This team was the butt of many jokes over the years due to their lack of, shall we say, winning statistics. The team didn’t care, they had a good time, they had each other’s camaraderie and hey, they drank beer when the game was over. What more could they ask for?

 

Ocean City Parks and Recreation has wonderful facilities. These infamous softball teams, played downtown on 4^th Street as well as 125^th Street at Northside Park.

 

These guys created many great memories for themselves, and their friends and families. They had many loyal followers throughout the years.

 

As we munched on burgers and dogs on Friday evening, we all had a fabulous time. I took the liberty of recording a few videos of the evening. Hey, we need to track this group of athletes as they enter those golden, a little bit older, years.
