It's Hamburger Day?

I heard it is Hamburger Day on Twitter from @SarahStelmok a real estate agent in the great state of Virginia.

Of course there are still plenty of local Wendy's and Max and Erma's to eat hamburgers at and for today...Think inside the bun... and don't forget... we'll always have White Castle.

Local Jobs

I saw it in the news earlier this month... Wendy's International was cutting ... no "slashing" jobs. Or that's what the Ohio News Network said it on July 5. ....and Wendy's credit rating was down graded.

Today I just got an email from a friend thanking me for my prayers and support... she was NOT laid off, downsized, slashed, fired.... from Wendy's work force. I had to admit I never considered her job in jeopardy even though I had read Wendy's was slashing jobs, so I had not prayed for her. Or offered any support now that I think about it. Denial.

My friend also urged all those friends she copied on the email to eat at Wendy's. I hear those new Frescata sandwiches are great....They have a Brutus Burger coming out next month... I have always loved to drink a cup of Chili in my car but it is just a little too hot for that now. A Frosty!!! Boosterism? You bet.

Anyone ....outside Central Ohio, Wendy's International is based in Dublin Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. I blog about Wendy's constantly it seems because I read about Wendy's in the news all the time. I need a photo of a burger to send subliminal messages... eat at Wendy's... eat at Wendy's... eat at Wendy's...

Brutus Burger

Nuts How did I miss this? I remember hearing about the Vanilla Frosty but I missed Wendy's Buckeye themed Brutus Burger.

Luckily Katherine Gallo at BlogginOhio.com caught it. Wendy's is doing a Brutus Buckeye Burger!

For the Animal Welfare Enhusiasts Sometimes you feel like a nut... I wondered if there were ground up buckeyes or some sort of nut in the burger.

You'd think reading my blog that I worked for Wendy's ... or Wendy's was the best restaurant in Central Ohio...Dublin Ohio is the headquarters of Wendy's International.

HER Real Living Comunity Info about Columbus:

Hometown fans must wear Scarlet and Gray, the school's colors. It is a minor misdemeanor in any season in Columbus to combine the colors blue and yellow, blue and gold or blue and maize. Those colors can be mistaken to symbolize a university in the state "up north" local euphemism for Michigan, the arch-rival of the beloved Buckeyes."

Wendy's

Columbus Business First reports Wendys new sandwiches are a hit.

"Wendy's attributed the improved sales to the nationwide rollout of its Frescata line of deli sandwiches in April. The company's June same-store sales, which increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous year, was its first monthly sales gain in 14 months.

Among several other changes at its restaurants, including a switch to a healthier oil for french fries, Wendy's said it will be introducing a vanilla Frosty to its menu in August. "

I keep seeing the new Arby's chicken sandwich commercial and assuming it is a Wendy's commercial. Something about the big Wendy's logo on the wall..... Wendy's chicken has water, salt and what? The similar McDonalds commercial says 30% of McDonalds chicken is not chicken. That's a lot of water, salt and whatever.

On a happier note, Vanilla Frosties sound good.
