I wonder what Central Ohio restaurants are going to be open on Thanksgiving?  Now that Halloween is behind us, time to think about over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go... or if no grandmotherly soul is preparing a feast in 2009 with a place set for you... what restaurants are open?

There was a private comment here (did you know you can do that here?   You can. It's kind of like whispeing in my ear....)  about Thanksgiving 2009...  then I saw someone reading   Columbus Best Turkey Dinner?   from back in 2006.  Yes I can see when someone is reading I can NOT see who is reading... well to a certain extent I can...  but I can see when someone is on a post.  And if you leave a nasty comment with naughty words from your place of employment'sinternet account that shows up too... but that's another story. 

Happy Thanksgiving thoughts..  pumpkin pie... turkey.  At home or away...

Where would you look for which restaurants are  open on Thanksgiving?  I would look at the Columbus Dispatch website and the Experience Columbus website or blog?  I know for either Mother's Day or Easter they have done posts about what  is open or Tweeted links to something about what restaurants were open

Thanksgiving is a Columbus Trash PU (pick up) Holiday of course. It should be a holiday that we all recognize we've had by how stuffed we are from turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie...

Columbus Day and Veterans Day seem to be holidays that send Columbusites searching the Internet for whether or not there is trash pick up. Columbus Day 2007 there was not trash pick up in Columbus. On Veterans Day 2007 there was trash pick up...

2007 Holidays that moved trash pick up back a day according to the official City of Columbus website were:

Memorial Day

Independence Day

Labor Day

Columbus Day

Thanksgiving Day

Christmas Day"

The 2007 Schedule. Thanksgiving and Christmas are all we have left to worry about.

The 2008 schedule will be out soon... but there is a hint for those of us who live in the NAVY trash pick up area (refuse collection... there are lots of ways to say it. Last pick up in December is December 24. The next pick up is January 2 2007. The double whammy holiday...
