B - list blogger

B-List Blogger

Columbus Bloggers  Are You an A-List Bloglebrity?  It's based on Technorati score

I'm merely a C- list Bloglebrity... this B is for RealTown Blogs as a whole...Congratulations Real Town Blogs. RealTown Blogs is a community of blogs, mostly real estate related.

From Kineda,  an "Entertainment, Pop Culture and Lifestyle" blog.  I found it on Future of Real Estate Technology  (he's a B-list Blogger congrats.)

The list of B-list bloggers on Kineda include:
"Nick La (N.Design Studio), Todd Friesen (Oilman), Mack Collier (The Viral Garden), Kim Krause Berg (Cre8pc), James Joyner (Gone Hollywood), Meme (Girl Spoke), Joshua Holmes (Bumpshack), Jessica Cutler, Shane Ede (Thatedeguy), John Thomas (JohnTP), Mark Ghosh (Weblog Tools), Ed Kohler, Saakshi Juneja (To Each Its Own), Rick Bruner (Business Blog Consulting), Joseph Scott, Paul Scrivens (Wisdump)"

Not one of whom I recognize... but hey they'd never recognize me either as I am merely a C- list blogger.  I recognized some on the A list, Robert Scoble, Darren Rowse and Seth Godin, blog royalty.

"The High Authority Group [B-List Bloggers]
(100-499 blogs linking in the last 6 months)
The third group represents a decided shift in blog age while not blogging much more frequently than the last. In keeping with the theme of the maturation of the blogosphere, it seems evident that many of these bloggers were previously in category two and have grown in authority organically over time. In other words, sheer dedication pays off over time.

I could not find an A list Real Estate blog.  Other B list real estate bloggers...  Rain City Guide, Sellsius° Blog.

To get a feel for what Kineda looks like if you have not clicked on the link.....imagine Barbie's Dream House 2006.  The image adorning 'Are You an A-List Bloglebrity?' is Paris Hilton.  Self described : "Created December 29, 1997, Kineda serves as one of the web’s premier blogs* focusing on Entertainment, Lifestyle, and Pop Culture. Designed with a bold and provocative look and format, Kineda has become the insider’s guide to what’s hot, new, and undiscovered for the past eight and a half years."

The blogs  "Recent Writings" include "Jessica Alba Voted Sexiest Substitute Teacher, Jay-Z Coming Back in Full Force, Holly Valance DOA Bikini Fight Scene, Name Your Porsche, Stop Touching Me!"

If the pink badge doesn't feel right remember Sellsius° Blog and Rain City Guide have an identical Pink B.

Robert Scoble, Darren Rowe and Seth have a Barbie Doll Pink Letter on their chests....

Who is rain city? Rainy weather, girl in slicker with an umbrella

Tom Barlow of Blogging Ohio Blog asks in his Buckeye Trivia Quiz :

The Question:  "Which city received the most annual rainfall; Seattle or Columbus?"

The Answer:  Columbus- 37 inches per year. Seattle, 34.10 inches per year.

There is a super duper great real estate blog called Seattle's Rain City Guide.  It has a buncha bloggers...Dustin who now lives in CA? His wife Anna ... Ardell, other real estate agents,  REALTORS®... Seattle is an area where real estate licensees can be a part of the MLS and not be a member of the local, state and national real estate associations..., some techie guy bloggerss, an attorney blogger or two.  Rain City Guide was one of the first real estate blogs I started reading (waaaaaaaay back in 2005.)

What is Active Rain? It is a real estate directory with blogs and forums???   Something like that.  I have a link  to Active Rain here on the my blog.  Here'an open invitation to those in the real estate industry (in Central Ohio and outside of Central Ohio....anywhere in the US and Canada I believe. )  Active Rain is not a secret, Inman wrote about it a couple of weeks ago.  Active Rain is to real estate blogging as AOL was to email in the 90's.  Anyone can do it.

Columbus 2nd Best Blog There are only a couple of entries on it.... I hope...there are more entries on it.... "secret" members only blogs that I hope you don't see...

Another blogging option for real estate professionals RealTown Blogs.  Columbus Best Blog is a RealTown Blog.

I believe it is supposed to rain today in Central Ohio.

Ancient History....'Rainy Days And Mondays' was recorded by The Carpenters in 1972. I took guitar lessons as a kid. I probably played 'Rainy days and Mondays' on the guitar.... badly...

Happy Anniversary to Columbus Best Blog

Columbus Best Blog started with an awkward  little entry on  August 27, 2005. The blog is not exactly what I expected it to be.  There is more real estate on Columbus Best Blog than I thought there would be... as the blog evolved in the past year.

My first comment on my first entry came from Frances Flynn Thorsen  of the  RealtyGram Blogger.  Fran my Fairy Blog Mother and writer of more blogs than you can shake a magic wand at...... Fran graciously left a nice comment on my first entry.   Thanks  Fran.

I bet I wrote Fran to say "I'm a blogger!"

Thanks to RealTown Blogs too.

The group of RT bloggers who finally started blogging after the first of the year made it much easier to blog... I was so lonely on RealTown Blogs last fall.  Was blogging a mass new years resolution?  I am so glad Bonnie, Gene, Chris, Leanne, Greg, Sandy, Lynne, Susan, Mary etc. etc. etc. etc.  started blogging.   Bouncing ideas off of a group really helps.

I really hated blogging last September.... it was not fun. I think I started to enjoy blogging in late October.

Help yourself to something to eat and drink, virtually of course.

The Ten Best RealTown Blogs

Ten Best RealTown Blogs (in my humble opinion)

Sellsiuso Blogs Top 10 Women Bloggers...inspired me.  Thank you fellas I am honored.

Sellsius o,   wrote, "To find more great blogs by women, visit BlogHer."

Columbus Best Blog is a RealTown Blog.  Maureen.RealTownBlogs.com is the url.  RealTown Blogs Member List shows approximately 1200 member blogs, today.  In an effort to copy Sellsiuso (because I do copy, or respond to Sellsiuso Blog's fun entries each and every chance I get...) here is my Ten Best Real Town Bloggers list.  The Ten Best RealTown Blogs (IMHO) are not all female bloggers.  The Ten Best RealTown Blogs list (IMHO) cross and recross (spell check tells me recross is not a word and suggests redress?... I will stick with recross...) gender lines in an effort to give credit where credit is due.

1.  Best Cool Refreshing Blog - Real Estate Snippets by Bonnie Erickson... It's a Minnesota snowflake and I am one of her biggest fans.  Bonnie is one of Sellsius o Top 10 Women Bloggers.
2.  Best Newbie N.J. Blog -
Somerset 08873 by Michael Adams
3.  Best use of a hogs head on a community blog
Welcome To Shavehead Lake On The Web! by Mike Bosela up in MI. The link will take you to the 'Hogs Head.'
4.  Best Curmudgeonly Blog and Best Ranting on an RT Blog-
The Gene Molloy Real Estate Blog by the one and only Gene Molloy of Chicagoland.
5.  Best Use of a Long Geographically Titled Blog... All the points were tallied and it is a tie between:

Real Estate Blog for Palo Alto, Mountain View, California, and Surrounding Communities by  Lynne Mercer and Real Estate Blog for the Golden Isles of GA including St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Sea Island, and Brunswick, GA.... by Sally Hardman.

6. Best Use of her Muse - Real Estate Bits and Pieces by Susan Pruden in Prince George's County MD. (That is pronounced "youze of her muze")

7. Best "Extra, Extra! Read All About IT!" coverage of local real estate news- Florida Real Estate Blog by Leanne Paynter. Love the little newspapers... all the news links.

8. Best Self Promotion - Ardell's Seattle Area Real Estate Blog by Ardell DellaLoggia. Ardell is one of Sellsiuso Top 10 Women Bloggers. Ardell is also part of the award winning Seattle's Rain City Guide.

9. Best Charitable use of a blog the Web Women Giving Circle blog by Frances Flynn Thorsen and Joeann Fossland. Joeann is one of Sellsiuso Top 10 Women Bloggers.  I think of Fran a PA REALTOR® as my fairy blog mother, she was the first real estate blogger I knew of.  It's hard to keep up with all Joeann and Fran are involved in; they're everywhere, blog on multiple blogs....

finally in an effort to be an inclusive, worldly and sophisticated "BEST of" list....

10. Best use of a real estate blog by a transgendered person - Manhattan Loft Guy by Sandy Mattingly...

ooops my mistake.  Sandy Mattingly was ALWAYS a male   I just assumed Sandy was a female when I met HIM online a couple of years ago...  I read his posts on a national real estate forum and assumed for months that Sandy was a sassy female NYC real estate agent.  It never crossed my mind that Sandy was not a female.  Now that's good writing!  No masculine chest pounding, no cave man grunts...  what a guy!

No joking I love reading Sandy's NYC blog.   Tomorrow RT Blogs...honorable mentions
