Discover Columbus

Worthington, Ohio

Discover Columbus is a site about Columbus Ohio. Originally named "Columbus Best Blog," it was never the best blog in Columbus Ohio. It was a blog about the best in Columbus and Central Ohio! Best restaurants, best real estate company, best schools, best neighborhoods..... written by Maureen McCabe a licensed real estate agent with Columbus Ohio's best real estate company, Real Living HER. Discover Columbus is just a site about Central Ohio.

checklist

-this entry is not about Columbus, it is about Real Estate across the country.... there are links to a couple more Columbus Real Estate Blogs though....

A list of 500 real estate blogs  from Pittsburgh Homes Daily

Check it out.  I am so lazy... here's how I compile a list of blogs.....

A list of   1810 blogs.... most but not all real estate...   Sign up for a RealTown Blog  It's free.  It's easy!

A list of  real estate network  profiles ... 6521 total 3986 real estate agents.....not all are ready to blog yet...  Sign up for Active Rain Real Estate Network It's free, it's easy!

Thanks to Michigan real estate blogger Maureen Francis for bringing the list of 500 to my attention via Active Rain. Thanks to the real estate blogger at Pittsburgh Homes Daily for compiling the list.  I had not heard of one of the Columbus real estate blogs on the list.. I had not heard of a number of the blogs in other states.

Columbus Best Blog is not a fan

Sep. 26, 2006
Categorized in: Real estate is local

Note: This  entry is not about Columbus.... this is about real estate blogging... the battle of the century?  Nope just a momentary blip in the blogosphere. The Real Estate is local category on Columbus Best Blog is always about elsewhere... not Columbus, not Central Ohio

I am not a boxing fan. You are probably never going to find a blog entry about the best boxers in Central Ohio....

Oh ok here's Ohio boxing addresses including Columbus...

Nor am I a fan of the two blogs doing the Sellsius 101 Blog challenge. They're just not my 'cup of tea.' and with so many real estate blogs to read out there....I believe there are over 1600 RealTown Blogs...I read some of those, read other real estate blogs but  I seldom read either of the Sellsius 101 challengers   Both bloggers have lots of fans.  Both bloggers are masters at self promotion.  Ardell also writes on Seattle's  Rain City Guide.  I am a fan of Seattle's Rain City Guide as a number of writers contribute there.  I am a huge Sellsius° Blog fan!

The match up:

Ardell's Seattle Area Real Estate Blog  vs. The Bloodhound Blog

Coverage on the Blogophere is fierce...

Technorati search for the tag 'Sellsius 101"

The Property Monger blog  is going to do a 'play by play'coverage...or is it 'blow by blow' coverage?  He call's Ardell's blog Searching Seattle Blog... which is a domain she is using to mask her http://ardell.realtownblogs.com/ url?  I think I called Ardell's blog  'Searching Seattle'  when I blogged elsewhere  but  top o' the blog says "Ardell's Seattle Area Real Estate Blog.

The Property Monger wrote: "Blog Top Sites won’t do Ardell any good here as it looks like she’s switched URL’s from http://ardell.realtownblogs.com/ to http://www.searchingseattleblog.com/

Blogathon

How do you measure reach?   Reach is important to blogs (all websites) and boxing.... blogs have a lot more reach than most websites....

Bloodhound Realty

RealTownblogs.com all blogs

According to Alexa, Ardell's blog traffic is three percent of all the RealTown Blogs traffic.

All the challenge is, is  a race to see who can enter 101 entries...fastest?  Rank or reach  doesn't matter, BlogTopsites, Technorati doesn't matter.. it's a numbers game.  Post 101 entries....

A statement on the Bloodhound Blog about the challenge:

"This might sound like a dumb stunt, but, in fact, there may be no two people in the real estate blogosphere better-suited for such a test."

OneWebDay Columbus 9-22-06

World Wide Web

How to Celebrate OneWebDay  A wiki how

OneWebDay

" The mission of OneWebDay is to create, maintain, advance, and promote a global day to celebrate online life: September 22, 2006"

I don't find anything about any Columbus or Central Ohio events to celebrate OneWebDay locally....  I found a great blog in Europe about where were you when the WWW was born.  For most of us it is not like 'where were you when JFK was shot?',  'where were you when they walked on the moon?', 'where were you on 9-11-2001.'  Many of us have a hard time distinguishing between the internet and the www.

One of my favorite blogs Sellsius° Blog (do you think maybe they're my favorite because Sellsius ° Blog said I wasrunning a marathon one of 'The Top Ten Women Real Estate Bloggers'?) did a blog marathon this morning...  I don't know if Sellsius°Blog's  Blogging Marathon was to celebrate OneWebDay but any blog posting fifty blog entries on the same day as the first OneWebDay is promoting using the web.  A blogging marathon is certainly a celebration of life online....

Sellsius°  fify blog entries posted September 22, 2006 cover a lot of ground.  Real estate and otherwise.

Sellsius° Blog Sept. 22 2006 #50

Storage? Rent a Pod #45

Renovation #44

Also an adults only blog entry, Friday fun, Yahoo search ...  a list of cities with the most oreclosures in the US and Columbus is not on the list!    Yes!

How to say Thank You! #19  ....Thank you Sellsius Blog for all the fun stuff to read.

Happy OneWebDay Columbus and Central Ohio!
