Goodbye and good luck!

This is more about the news in Columbus than Columbus in the news....I understand tomorrow all the links on my blog to anything in Columbus Business First Newspaper will be dead.  They are going to an online service available only to those who subscribe to the paper newspaper.   If I understand it correctly my RSS, the daily emails and searching for stories in the online version will be over.

Bear with me while I straighten up and remove broken links...or entries if I can't make sense of them without the link.

Thanks for a number of years of online reading. Best Wishes!

Did I imagine it?

I must be imagining that Columbus is on the list of the Top Ten Big Cities in the US that came out yesterday.  Why isn't that news in The Columbus Dispatch, Columbus Business First, or the Daily Reporter?   I find the CNNMoney.com list in a bunch of other newspapers around the country (or am I just imagining that too?)  but not in any of the Columbus papers?

News Flash Columbus Business First announced yesterday that Mentor is the only Ohio City on the list... true of the 90 smaller cities in this list.  Not true of the 10 Biggest Cities in this list... or am I imagining Columbus there on the list in number eight? Or are there articles in the Columbus papers but I can't find them?

We're not number one on the list but Cincinnati, Cleveland, Akron, Dayton, Toledo, etc.  aren't on the list at all.

Indianapolis, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago and lots of other BIG cities did not make the tiny list of Big Cities.

Crazy?

Columbus Business First Notice

This is more the news in Columbus than Columbus in the news despite the category on my blog....

"Beginning Monday, July 24th,  ALL stories from Business First print edition will be available online to print-edition subscribers ONLY."

I will miss it.

Is that the Columbus Dispatch old policy?  No you could access some Columbus Dispatch articles without being a paid subscriber... I believe.
