Disco Fever Columbus

I got a Google alert for a Live Journal blog of a high school kid in another Columbus (not Columbus Ohio ) who has a list of 100 things she wants to do that includes:

"Mow the 'DISCOVER COLUMBUS'  letters so that they say 'DISCO FEVER COLUMBUS.' "

OK?  I always wondered when I saw this Google alert if you spelled 'DISCOVER COLUMBUS' sideways it spelled 'DISCO FEVER COLUMBUS'  ....

The Google alert...

"82. Mow the ‘DISCOVER COLUMBUS’ letters so that they say DISCO FEVER COLUMBUS or DISCOVER COLUMBUS"

Mow as in with a lawn mower?   Mow 'Discover Columbus" letters in the grass?  Does this itty bitty Columbus mow "Discover Columbus"  into the grass?

Google has sent me an alert to this before and I always go "huh?"  Of course the Google alerts don't pick up the crossed out letters so it reads different than what she has on her list of things to do.... Google doesn't even show "Disco Bus."

make a space, add in FEV, skip the word Columbus altoghther to make Discover Columbus into Dico Fever or to make Disco Bus ... just cross out letters... because spelling Disco Bus???

I always thought when I got the Google Alerts that Mow was Move mispelled. I think in Scrabble letters not grass clippings... finally today I went to look and see what it was about. Now I can stop taking  the 'Disco Fever Columbus' Google alert personally.

Pay no attention to the code!  I have tried three times now to 'claim' my blog on Technorati.  No luck... I am going around in circles!

I have finally put in a support request.

Look there is something down at the bottom of the column on the right that looks like Technorati.

Not a Fan

I am not much of a country music fan but for some reason I noticed the song playing on the radio station this AM when I awoke. The radio alarm clock was not set to a country radio station.  I woke up thinking

"What  the..."

A little over an hour later I heard the same song on Good Morning America on TV.  Or I thought it was the same song....  I'd swear they said on 'Good Morning America'  that Rascal Flats is from Columbus Ohio.  I looked it up online and found two of the band members are originally from Columbus.

No wonder a non coutry Columbus radio station was playing their new release today.   Why I liked it when I heard it on the radio is the mystery.  Maybe I do like country music...

Blogging Break Through

I had a blogging break through.. I am hiding this back on April First so hopefully no one sees it... except those I point it out to.

Thanks to Bonnie, Leanne and Mike Weber, I have finally had an html break through, I can wrap text.  I went back and moved a cow on a 5-26 entry and I am not happy but I lost him once. I am glad he is back.

"You're right that we definitely need that feature on the blogs. It will be part of our WYSIWYG editor rewrite. As a [techie] alternative, you could click the HTML checkbox, then add style to your images.  It would look something like this."

"The style "float: left" means that the image will float inside the text but it will be anchored to the left.  Padding adds four pixels of white space around the image."

And again:
