A note on the City of Columbus website:

"* For NAVY collection areas, a collection will be made on Monday, December 24, 2007 and again on Wednesday, January 2, 2008."

Think about it... our trash day moved to Monday after Thanksgiving, we get trash pick up on Monday December 24, 2007 our day moves back to Tuesday.... but the next Tuesday is New Years Day so NAVY moves back to Wednesday....

I have a hard time not blogging about trash pick up in Columbus Ohio. The first time I blogged about the system, the schedule, etc. Feb. 21, 2006 - Color Coded Trash is one of the most read entries on this site. Whenever there is a holiday a lot of internet searches end up on it.

For Columbus workers Christmas Day is of course a holiday with no trash being picked up... Same thing a week later with New Years. This year the NAVY area gets the double whammy. I just became obsessed with the color coded trash pick up in 2006...

If you live in the suburbs of Columbus the municipality should have posted what day trash pick up is... rules, regulations, changes in schedule because of holidays etc. The community profile pages on MaureenMcCabe.com has links to many Central Ohio communities.

It's almost the Chinese New Year.  Year 4704  December 29 is the beginning of the Chinese New Year (It's a 15 day celebration!)    Year 4704 is the year of the Dog.

What is Columbus best Chinese restaurant? 

Molly Woo's Asian Bistro at Polaris is not really Chinese restaurant or is it? Molly Woo's  is part of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.  Molly Woo's Asian Bistro is celebrating the Chinese New Year.
