Central Ohio New Homes

Bill Evans August 23, 2007 column in This Week Newspapers is about new construction.

You don't need a real estate agent to help you if you are looking for new construction do you?

Bill Evan's says:

"In fact, ask her if the real estate agency you are working with has a Web site that details builders in the area and lists the homes that are available. A one-stop-shop such as a new construction portal will make it easy on you when searching for the builder and the dream home that is perfect for you. "

Wow I just happen to have one handy... a new construction portal that is.  It's on my website, MaureenMcCabe.com  - New Construction   - New Construction Featured Builders

Virginia Homes who developed the Shefflield Park development along with Centex is the big award winner at the 2006 BIA Parade of Homes according to an article in Columbus Business First.     Nine awards.  The article also reported:

"Other winners included New England Homes with seven awards."

I volunteered at the Parade of Homes, yesterday at New England Home's house.  An agent and builder in my office, John Holt is one of the partners in New England Homes.  At our Tuesday sales meeting our manager was saying that  all the people coming through were saying John's house (New England Homes, house,  the BIA Foundation House  at this year's BIA  Parade of Homes ) was the best.

They said it over and over yesterday.   It is a beautiful house.    It is like a trip to Cape Cod...  The floor plan is called the Gloucester.  I only ran through two houses as I was leaving but there was no comparison.  It must be the best house.

MI Homes, Tuckernan and Beazer homes each got five awards...
