Remember free iced coffee at Tim Horton's today...

Tim Horton's is no longer part of Wendy's is it? ... wait Wendy's is no longer part of Wendy's is it... Or Wendy's is going through a change...

There are plenty of Tim Horton's around Central Ohio aren't there?

Not an iced coffee drinker?  Prefer iced tea?  What kind?

Summer time Central Ohio tea survey

...Commercial... we now return you to your regularly scheduled blogging.  I'd love to hear from you if you have a comment on the topics of iced coffee, iced tea, Tim Horton's, Wendy's etc. All comments are moderated so you will not see your comment immediately. Thanks.

Columbus' Choice of Beverage

Please, please. please don't vote UNLESS you live in Columbus.  By Columbus I mean Central Ohio or greater Columbus... I just don't want people from Cinci, Cleveland and foreigners like Chicagoans, Michiganders and definitely no one from south of the Mason Dixon line voting...

Yes there is a choice.  No there is not a lot of choice.

Do you like ice tea or sweet tea?

Don't like tea? Don't vote. Thanks

Columbus Restaurant Forum

RE: Columbus Restaurant Forum

Rob DeTillio chef of Thom 's on Grandview was recently fired because the owner claimed he couldn't afford to pay him. So i would like to ask everyone who reads this to boycott going to Thom's on Grandview because the food will not be nearly as good as when my father worked there.

P.S: be aware of the seafood

Joke?  Prank?

Did Columbus blogs who really are about food and restaurant hear from Sam?

If it is for real ...how old is Sam?

While I can't recommend this Grandview restaurant since I have NOT eaten there, I would hate to see Sam get his wish that people boycott the restaurant because they are struggling... What about the waiter / waitresses families? ... what about the rest of the kitchen staff ....  bus boys... etc.  I don't think calling for the boycott of a restaurant that had to lay off an employee for financial reasons makes any sense.

There are reviews on the restaurant website from the Grumpy Gourmet, Columbus Monthly and others...

Thom's on Grandview

My sympathies to this chef's family... Hope you find another job quickly.

I wonder about the cryptic mess sage at the end...

Ice Cream Trivia from the Trivia Bot on Twitter:

I like trivia.... I am very good at Trivial Pursuit. I have a category here for Columbus Trivia.  Know any?  Share it.... I also have a category about cows here but the Trivia Bot's cows are just cows in general not Columbus cows necessarily.  I am sure though that Central Ohio cows do their part for ice cream...

More about Ice Cream in Central Ohio?

John Henderson of the Denver Post wrote of
Columbus ice cream amongst his worldly travels:

"The only place in the United States I've managed to find tastes that accurate is, of course, that tropical paradise and ice cream capital of the world: Columbus, Ohio. OK, our image of Columbus is of freezing air billowing out of some crazed Ohio State linebacker during the Michigan game on a 30-degree day in November."

Henderson was talking about Jeni's Ice Cream.  Columbusite Jeni is one of the sixteen women entrepreneuers featured in the book 'Real You Incorporated' by Kaira Sturdivant-Rouda.

Also heard via Twitter this week:

"jeni's new grapefruit hibiscus yogurt rocks!"  from Heather a Columbus food blogger who writes on  Sopressata
