Short North Gallery Hop

May. 5, 2006
Categorized in: Events & Places

It's the first Saturday of the month... Gallery Hop in the Short North tomorrow!

Cowtown Art, 668 North High Street in the Short North has this to say about the name of their establishment and Columbus being called a cowtown:

"Those who have spent little or no time here have disparagingly referred to Columbus as a cow town for decades.  But those of us who live here know the truly cosmopolitan nature of this great town.  But since we are a good-natured people we are able to laugh at ourselves(especially when we know they are wrong).  Sure there are some cows, but there are also great museums, universities, cultural events, quaint neighborhoods (like the Short North), performing arts, galleries, parks, and the best damn team in the land."
