If you want real Mexican food, come to Arizona ... Caroline's, Los Dos Molinos (and bring a lot of tequila to kill the burning on your tongue.)

Thanks for the comment Jonathan. Gee the families who own and operate Mexican restaurants in this area think of it as real Mexican food. Since they are immigrants from Mexico you'd think their food would be considered real Mexican food. I've traveled in Mexico and eaten both the food for tourists and in the restaurants for the locals (and got Montezuma's revenge.) Not all the restaurants on my list are small family owned and operated but most are. Some folks in the SW US may not realize it but there are hispanic people in other parts of the country and they don't start eating and serving sauerbraten and bratwurst because they've moved to Columbus Ohio. We really did not have much real Mexican food here in Columbus 15 years ago, but we do now. Thanks again for the comment. Maureen
