On election eve 2006... I am still undecided about Issue 3. I thought originally I was anti-gambling because... well I was brought up that gambling is evil... then a poll / discussion here about a Columbus magazine article about a pie in the sky non-issue, should City Center become a casino??.. got votes but I believe they thought they were voting on Issue 3. Some of the discussion makes me wonder if letting the states surrounding us lure Ohio gamblers out of state is such a good idea.
Issue 3 Gambling in Ohio - Slot Machines at Race Tracks and two locations in Cleveland
Columbus can do better but what about the rest of the state? Cleveland is where the slot machines will be in The Flats... and of course at the race tracks... Race tracks in Ohio are located in Columbus (2?), Cinci (2?) and Cleveland (?) if I am not mistaken that is where the race tracks are. Those who commented when I wrote about Columbus a few weeks ago were talking about right across the border from Cleveland and Cinci having gambling.. all of the gambling in bordering states being right on the border?
