"The Central Ohio Home & Garden Show will take place Saturday through March 4 at the Ohio Expo Center, I-71 and E. 17 th Avenue" according to the Columbus Dispatch Home & Garden Show article. 

The show starting tomorrow is the 51st year of the show... last year, the 50th Cental Ohio Home & Garden Show  was "Leave it to Beaver",  poodle skirts, saddle shoes, the 1950's atomic ranch, back yard barbeques....  according to the The Columbus Landscape Association's  site last year's Central Ohio Home & Garden ttheme was "Daddy-o On the Patio- 50 years of Flowers" The links in the blog entry I did (on Columbus Best Blog last year which is now Discover Columbus) of course now link to the 2007 Central Ohio Home and Garden Show not last years.  Last year the celebrities included Jerry Mathers and Barbara Billingsley.  Nolstalgia.

Central Ohio Home & Garden Show - 2007

This years show and celebrities seem to be less of a theme... than a year ago.  This years theme...local football heroes... local 911 hero...    the family of the local hero who appeared on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition are the celebrities... actually there are other celebrities... I just don't recognize them like I do the local heros. 

Local hero Jason L. Thomas and his family as well as one of the guys from Extreme Makeover Homes Edition are appearing on Saturday March 3 according to the Central Ohio Home & Garden website:

" Paul DiMeo, carpenter for the popular television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, will discuss what it’s like to work on the show during his appearance at the Central Ohio Home & Garden Show. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition recently filmed an episode in which local former Marine, September 11 hero and father of five Jason L. Thomas received a new house built by DiMeo and the show cast. DiMeo will be joined by the Thomas family during his appearance.
