Columbus Tops US Cities List

Columbus I am having deja vu... I would swear I blogged on this before .... but I can't find it on my blog.

Columbus and three other large cities, Washington D.C., *Minneapolis- St. Paul M.N. and San Diego are the best prepared for emergencies. An article in the Canton Repository says: "Only 6 cities, including Columbus, win highest scores for emergency communications"

The smaller cities that join the list of cities that have adopted advanced emergency communicatons systems are Sioux Falls S. D. and Laramie County, WY.c. 2006 Columbus Best Blog

THe Canton Repository article also said: "The lowest scores go to Chicago; Cleveland; Baton Rouge, La.; Mandan, N.D.; and American Samoa. The report includes large and small cities and their suburbs, along with U.S. territories."

I am sure I read or heard somewhere that Columbus was tested during Red, White and Boom last summer. When I heard about it on the news today they also said each OSU football game is also a test of the local communication...

*Minneapolis and St. Paul are not a city... but I guess for the purpose of the study they need to act together...

You probably blogged on the study that showed Columbus at the top of cities for ease of evacuation.

Is that what the other study was? I know it was right around the first OSU game this fall too because it was right around the time I found your blog. You had this study on your blog yesterday... I am impressed... I must have still been snoozing on the second, I first saw anything about it today. Thanks for the comment.
