Feb. 4, 2008 - An Obama - Edwards Ticket

Ohio Wesleyan University held a mock Democratic convention and mock election this weekend and it's an Obama - Edwards ticket.

"Ohio Wesleyan University Nominates Obama for President" says "It’s an Obama-Edwards ticket for Ohio Wesleyan University as students concluded their two-day Democratic Mock Presidential Convention today."

The first mock convention at Ohio Wesleyan College was held in 1894. Ohio Wesleyan is a liberal arts college in the City of Delaware, north of Columbus. The University always features the party that is not in the White House... When I first heard about it on the radio I wondered why Democratic... not that there's anything wrong with Democrats...

2008 Mock Convention - OWU

I believe I heard on the radio that the mock elections at Ohio Wesleyan University have only been right 50% of the time.

The Ohio primary is not until the first Tuesday in March... I am very unpolitical. Earlier today I was wondering if we were involved in Super Tuesday tomorrow... I had to Google to see. Duh. Then I thought .. we have not had the pleasure of the political TV commercials yet....

	RE: Best Central Ohio High Schools Written by: ___ January 3rd, 2008 8:16.25 pm there is a teacher in columbus Public Schools that needs to be watched. Her name is _______, and there is a major concern that she could be raping some of her students.

Central Ohio's best high schools according to U.S. News & World Reports:

Visit the U.S. News & World Reports article on high schools to read about the methodology, etc. There were 400 Silver Medal Schools and 1000 Bronze Medal Schools across the US. The 100 Gold Medal Schools included one from the Cleveland area and three from the Cincinatti area.

I was pleasantly surprised to see Akron Ohio... Akron was number 5 on the Forbes.com list. I was thrilled to see Columbus Ohio on the list of the 20 best cities in the US for schools. What does the Forbes.Com report say about Columbus?

'The Buckeye State gets on the board for a second time with its capital, Columbus. Boasting 6,081,889 books in its library system, Columbus's 284,626 public school students and 28,437 private school students make up a large portion of the town's overall population."

It gives public schools a B, private schools an A+

Columbus is number 6 on the list of 20 US Cities.

A + for libraries...

Being a college town, having access to colleges weighs in....
