I wrote about Columbus blogger Haochi Chen who writes "Googlified" when he notified Google of a flaw in their GMail... Just before the New Years...this year.
A Canadian website wrote about "Columbus teenager discovered a Google vulnerability". Yup Haochi is 16 years old and a high school sophomore.
'Googlified' is about Google. "Everything Google"
Googlified says:
"My name’s Haochi Chen, as you might already know. I am a web programmer, even though I am not really good at any of the program languages that I have learn,(C++, C#, PHP, MySQL, ASP, JavaScript, Java, XML, other non-programs are CSS and HTML) but it only took me less than half a year to know all these(except HTML)! Sure, that’s something, and I am getting ready for Perl, Python, JSP.
More deeply, I am a 16 year old from the political battle ground in the United States - Ohio. I am currently a sophomore in a not-so-bad high school. "
I have to keep looking up what PHP and MySQL mean and when I read what PHP and MySQL are about I don't understand it.
I thought of Haochi Chen this week when Google introduced "My Maps" look at Google Maps.. see the New tab on the top left?
See it there on the left side New! tab on Google Maps?
"Make Google Maps your maps.
Mark your favorite places on your map.
Draw lines and shapes to highlight paths and areas.
Add your own text, photos, and videos.
Publish your map to the web.
Share your map with friends and family."
Cool stuff. Lots of fun things have been created with Google Maps since they were introduced... There was talk this week about Googles 'My Maps'... the end of innocence or "positively Machiavellian" according to Web 2.0’s Cruel Machiavellian Joke on Tony Hung's Deep Jive Interest... I always have to look up Machiavellian too.
Haochi Chen's April Fools joke made someone unhappy but they seem to have reconciled....
