Rob DeTillio chef of Thom 's on Grandview was recently fired because the owner claimed he couldn't afford to pay him. So i would like to ask everyone who reads this to boycott going to Thom's on Grandview because the food will not be nearly as good as when my father worked there.

If it is for real ...how old is Sam?
While I can't recommend this Grandview restaurant since I have NOT eaten there, I would hate to see Sam get his wish that people boycott the restaurant because they are struggling... What about the waiter / waitresses families? ... what about the rest of the kitchen staff .... bus boys... etc. I don't think calling for the boycott of a restaurant that had to lay off an employee for financial reasons makes any sense.
There are reviews on the restaurant website from the Grumpy Gourmet, Columbus Monthly and others...
My sympathies to this chef's family... Hope you find another job quickly.

Did anyone come forward and admit to this and say what they mean? Wow that would be terrible if it were a restaurant down the street writing things like this? Makes you wonder.
Nope... that's the problem with the web. It could be a competitor. It could have nothing to do with any financial trouble at the restaurant, it could be lots of things. There may not be a Rob or a Sam. Do you know the cartoon about dogs playing on the internet?
I had an owner of a restaurant writing rave reviews for his Hilliard area restaurant on ColumbusBestBlog.com last year. I had a nut leaving comments with nasty, nasty nasty (I can't think of a good word so will repeat nasty until I can think of the right word) nasty allegations about a local school teacher who the nut named in the comments she left on both CBB and here. I had an employee of a local newspaper (not the Columbus Dispatch) leaving comments slamming Columbus... which is not really a problem, it was more just harassing me... That has become a problem now that I have a decent amount of traffic. That's why I moderate all comments...
I have had a few other nuts too.
I can look to see what Sam's IP is, that may tell me if he wrote it from a business address or it may tell me nothing.
There are great reviews from local restaurant reviewers on the restaurant's site.
