San Antonio has it all in regard to real estate and especially residential real estate. Come to the city with unlimited growth; come get your teeth into home ownership and stay, grow and grow some more. Approximately 210,000 people make this decision every 10 years with attrition being an insignificant percentage. This is truly the city of opportunity where one can maximize his or her economic life in a free capitalistic environment.
Around 18,000 new homes were built during 2006 with the greatest number sold in the $140,000 to $175,000 range and, generally, by real estate agents. Another 10,000 pre-owned homes hit the market as well. Nearly all of the new homes have sold as well as a large proportion of existing homes. Much of the housing growth can be attributed to job expansion and job creation. Companies continue to make San Antonio their home because of the great number of employable workers, temperate climate, available land and convenient city infrastructure as well as a progressive city council.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in San Antonio indicates another strong year for 2007 with economic growth just a whisker less than 2006. High energy prices have not slowed San Antonio's growth partly because of the Toyota Plant and other industries revving up the economy. Real estate, overall, is appreciating because overbuilding is minimal in relation to housing demand.
Come and be a part of the city of opportunity. It will welcome you into it's folds of growth and success unsurpassed in Texas!
