Greater Englewood Neighborhood Association (G.E.N.A) |
G.E.N.A. is a neighborhood association dedicated to continually improving the neighborhood. The cost of membership is $15 per year. The Englewood area is considered to be all properties between Emerson St. (West) and University Blvd. (East) and between Phillips Hwy. (South) and Beach Blvd. (North).
Many businesses in the area offer discounts to members of G.E.N.A. My company, Platt Realty, offers to pay $300 toward closing costs for sellers who are members of G.E.N.A. that list and sell through Platt Realty and for buyers buying through Platt Realty who agree to join G.E.N.A. The hope is that the buyers who join will attend G.E.N.A. meetings, but it is not required.
Both owners of properties and renters of properties in the G.E.N.A. area are welcome to join the association and participate in all activities.
Regular meetings are held at the Cuba Hunter Park on Bedford Road on the second Monday each month at 7 p.m. Speakers speak on topics of interest to the neighborhood. The next regular meeting will be held on Jan. 14. Our Holiday Party will be held on November 26 at 7 p.m.
