anti virus and spam filter

I'm using Trend Micro and Spamfighter, and the two of them are fighting against each other after years of using them. Trend Micro blames Spamfighter, Spamfighter blames Trend Micro.

Downloading emails now takes 20 minutes for 15 emails! (no attachments)

Anyone know how to fix this? And if not I'll dump them both. So what Anti Virus is everyone using? What you using to filter spam?

I use the AVG Program which I have found to take care of just about everything....Anti Virus...Anti Spyware...Anti Spam....Firewall...Web Shield and a host of other things.
