Labor Day Labors |
Some how I pictured being down at the beach yesterday after I finished work. After all it is Labor Day weekend. Alas, the skies looked black late yesterday. My husband and I were afraid that if we went to the beach a storm would come and the trams would be shut down because of lightening. What did we do with our time off? Started cleaning out the kitchen cabinets in our Avalon rental unit. We recently had the cabinet fronts redone, put in a new Silestone counter top, a new sink, new garbage disposal and a new faucet.
We thought it would be a good idea to give the insides of the cabinets a thorough cleaning before we started putting back all the "stuff" we took out of the cabinets. What a fun evening.
Pelican Bay, like all of us, is aging. Our Avalon unit was built in 1993 and definitely needs some updating. What a difference the new cabinet fronts and counter make! Here's a shot of the old cabinets:

Here's how the new cabinet fronts look.

Once we get the new tile back splash installed, I'll have to update these photos.
I recently purchase a Flip video and have been experimenting with it. Here is my first sunset video for you to enjoy.
