Why own in Pelican Bay?

Jun. 16, 2009
Categorized in: Pelican Bay Information

Why would you want to own a home in Pelican Bay?  Is it because Pelican Bay is a unique beach community?  Would the golf course draw you to own here?  Could you picture yourself playing tennis every day?  Are you into fitness?  Maybe the state of the art fitness center at the Pelican Bay Community Center would drawn you here.  In any case, Pelican Bay has some thing for every buyer.

The beach was the big draw for my husband and I.  Every night after work in the summertime, we try to get down to the beach for a quick swim.  Last night the Gulf water temperature was 89 degrees!  Sometimes we bring a change of clothes with us so we can shower and change to enjoy dinner at the Sandpiper Restaurant on the beach in Pelican Bay.

Sunset in Pelican Bay

The sunsets the last few nights have been absolutely breath taking.  My nephew, Anthony, came down from the Gainsville area and managed to take this photo of the sunset on June 11th.  We were having dinner at the Sandpiper Restaurant when he took this shot.  At first we did not think there would be ANY sunset because of the clouds but we were pleasantly surprised.

Sunset on the Sandpiper Beach in Pelican Bay

The photo on the right I snapped with my cell phone camera a few nights earlier.  Every night brings a different type of sunset.  If you are very lucky, you might even see the green flash.  Does the green flash exist?  Yes, it does!  There are very rare yet I have managed to see at least five of them in the 13 years we have lived in Pelican Bay.

You may be viewing these photos thinking you'd like to live in Pelican Bay.  Today's market offers a wide selection of properties in all price ranges in Pelican Bay.  Summertime is a great time to buy as there is less competition for well priced properties.  Now is a great time to buy in Pelican Bay!

Should you be thinking of selling your home in Pelican Bay and would like a candid assessment of what it would take to sell your home in today's market, I would be happy to provide you with a free market evaluation.  Feel free to give me a call at 239-594-2780 or e-mail me at Lynn@NaplesBuys.com.

New Pelican Bay Foundation Board

Apr. 7, 2008
Categorized in: Pelican Bay Information

It's now official!  The new Pelican Bay Foundation board members are Mike Coyne, Doug Esson and Robert Pendergrass.

According to an e-mail that was sent out to Foundation members by Gerhard Seliatnigg, there was a delay in the election results due to a discrepancy between the number of shares voted on three separate reports.  It was determined that the discrepancy was a presentation error not a tabulation error.  54% of the Foundation board members voted in this election.

I wish the best to our three new board members.

Pelican Bay Survey

Apr. 6, 2008
Categorized in: Pelican Bay Information

The Pelican Bay Foundation has recently sent out a survey to randomly selected property owners.  This survey asks questions on how owners use the amenities in Pelican Bay, how often they use these amenities, and which amenities they feel are most important to them.  It is a detailed survey that will take you a bit of time to fill out.  When you recieve this survery, please try to take the time to express your opinion.  It is important the Foundation understands how the amenities are being used and which amenities are important to our home owners.

Our Gulf water temperatures are finally starting to warm up.  Once the water finally hits 82 degrees, you will find me enjoying the water.  Living here full time has spoiled me.  I actually love the Gulf in the summer time!  There is nothing like taking a dip in the warm Gulf waters after a long day of showing houses.  Forget the saying "Calgon take me away"!  I like the saying "De-stress at the beach in Pelican Bay"!
