Live In Los Gatos

Happy New Year!

Yesterday my family and I hiked through Belgatos Park in Los Gatos and the weather was so amazingly clear that I wish I had brought my "real camera". But I did have my Treo along, and it can take photographs, so I snapped a few.

This is a view of downtown San Jose through some oak trees on one of the crests in the park. All of Silicon Valley can be seen - and more!  In fact, we could make out San Francisco in the distance (not shown). It truly was picture perfect.  Enjoy, and Happy New Year!

Santa in the Los Gatos Plaza

The Los Gatos Saratoga Community Education & Recreation Department is sponsoring a very special visitor this month: Santa Claus!

Tomorrow and the following Sunday, Dec 16 and 23, Santa will chat with kids and allow you to take photos at the Los Gatos Town Plaza, aka Linden Plaza (located at Main & Santa Cruz Avenues by the post office). No cost!

Four Slideshows of Los Gatos

The San Jose Mercury News did a "where we live" feature story on our town earlier this year. It is a wonderful collection of slides and music or voices with beautiful photography covering some of the history of the town. One of the neatest elements is the "then and now" shots, in which you can see how certain buildings have changed - or not. The narrator also provides a little history too. It's a very pleasant way to learn about our hometown.
