Welcome back, Shakespeare! One of the best elements of summer in Los Gatos is the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival, which debuts its new season, the 10th annual, at Oak Meadow Park beginning next week. Now is a great time to order your tickets! (More on that below.)
Opening night is July 15, 2011 with the presentation of The Tragedy of Macbeth. Other productions offered this year include Twelfth Night and the more contemporary Charley's Aunt.
The season runs through August 6. All shows begin at 8pm and are under the stars (so dress in layers as our evenings can get chilly). Tickets are affordably priced at $20 each but there are discounts for seniors (60 and over are $15) and youths (17 and younger - also $15), as well as for groups. They can be purchased online or over the phone using a major credit card, or by mail with a check.
Finally, the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival can be found on Facebook now, too, and it's easy to donate there if you'd like to help support the arts in town!
This is one of my favorite things to enjoy in Los Gatos and I can't wait for it to start. Hope to see you there!
