New I-Frame Technology - Jun. 26, 2006

Has anyone been sold this technology as I have? I was contacted by a company (telemarketing) and they showed me something I had not yet seen before. It was something they called "I-Frame" technology.

How it is suppose to work is when someone who surfs the web downloads and installs a browser enhancement that allows the "I-frame" tool to be active in their browser, and then when they use a major search engine to look for something on the web using "key words or phrases" in the search engine that have been purchased by someone with a web site that offers what they are looking for, then the consumer's browser takes them directly to that web site. Or actually opens a "frame" inside the window (of the search engine results) at the top showing the web site of the person or company that has purchased that "key phrase".

This seemed like such a great way to get home shoppers to my web site and the sales person was so convincing after showing me a demo of how this worked. I decided to try this out. This sales person also guaranteed me a minimum of 12,000 hits to my web site over the next 6 months per "key phrase" that I was willing to purchase.

The reality is that this is a total scam. I am interested in finding out if anyone else out there has been burned by a company offering this technology. I believe that the majority (if not all) of the sales this company does for this is via phone or telemarketing. I discovered later (too late) that this company has had several (over 35) complaints against it over the last 2 years with the BBB. So I know that I am not
alone.
