I have been with HouseValues for about 2 months. I have received many leads, most of which are long-term buyers, some of which are worthless. I have a closing next week with the second lead I received, which will pay for the rest of the year. The problem I had was that I didn't understand their system in the beginning. Now working with the assigned coach, it makes more sense and I expect more business as the months go on. I am using it as a small part of the business, an added dimension, not something I am counting on. With the way the real estate customer is changing, I believe that more and more people will be searching on the internet and many will find agents that they will work with there. I feel that it is an investment in the future and I have already received enough short term benefits to pay for it. It's not for everyone, but it's not all bad either.

re: House Values Success Story - May. 21, 2007 |

| To all fairness to HouseValues, I guess I can say I am a success story more or less. I am with Just Listed since 2004 and as of today it paid for my subscription for years to come. yes, there are bad leads but there are good ones too and this program is ideal for long-term leads anyway. What I really love about the program is not even leads so much but the MarketLeader feature that streamlines my business. I don't spend too much time on it yet all my leads (even ones I find myself) are on my follow up campaign and I know every day what I need to do. It is an excellent contact management program in addition to leads. |
