NO, NO AND NEVER, AND NO AND NO AND NO.......are you an e-PRO Matt? it
didn't say so in your sig line. If not, I would highly recommend
taking that as you will learn very quickly how not to give away your
hard earned money. Go to http://www.eProNar.com and check into it
now.
Aside from other issues, HouseValues has problems because the client
doesn't know an agent will call.....they think they are getting a pc
generated value aka zillow. so when YOU, the agent calls them they are
very pissed off. Don't waste your money. HV has known about this for
years and makes no changes, so I don't expect them to be in business
very long. I believe in Honesty, so, if I were to get a lead
generating program such as this, I would go with Reply.com. I've
tested them out for the last few months and really like them. First
of all, you pay a very small sum of money for the lead, no referral
fees, it's less than running an ad in the paper. Secondly, they
verify the email address of the lead before the send to you.. Third,
they say right up front to their customers that an AGENT WILL GET IN
TOUCH WITH YOU.
Giving a phone number, email address and address of property plus a
phone number is required. This is a HIGH quality lead, so if you want
to use a 3rd party lead generator, I'd say get in touch with
Reply.com.
OTOH, Why not spend the same money, or additional money by promoting
WorkWithWhite.com? Do some seo, ppc, you'll be way ahead of the pack.
btw ~ it would be a good idea to STOP advertising your services for
FREE. That drives me nuts ;-)
Why would you do this? I guess it's just a personal 'pet peeve' of
mine but why does everyone offer to work for FREE???? Don't you want
to make money? As I posted to Saul earlier today regarding the Bank
of America "FREE" stock trades, NOTHING in life is free......someone -
somewhere PAYS for it..
I believe in getting paid for my professional expertise. I don't give
anything away FREE. Neither do most other professionals who are
experts in their field do so. Let's get paid for our business, lets
stop begging for it so much that we give our expertise away for
FREE..........argh!!
Stay tuned for more news at 11:00 on how to make money, stop begging
for business and giving your hard earned money away for FREE!! I am
going to stop this if it's the last thing I do before I leave the real
estate industry. Be brave, Be confident, know your worth, don't back
down......if we band together and stop this garbage we will all be
happier for it.
ok.......off my rant about that now ;-)

In my opinion, HV/JL which is actually HouseValues, is a company that has
absolutely no interest in your success, only your credit card. They will
provide you with garbage, unverified leads and threats of lawsuits if you
wish to cancel early and pay something less than their exorbitant
cancellation fees. Save your money and spend it on something that will
enhance your image and increase your sales.

Deena,
Forget it. Nearly everybody who has ever -- in a weak moment -- signed up
with HV has had regrets. The leads usually are just BS; people merely
curious about the value of their homes with little or no interest in selling
or buying. Sure, HV has a handful of agents who've done OK with their
program, but how many others have had little or no luck. Only remedy you
have is to cancel, but do it within the timeframe specified in your contract
or they'll pinch you for another month's fee. The best action against
outfits like HV is to tell EVERYBODY about your experiences with them.

I also had a bad experience with House Values. The leads were worthless and when I tried to cancel they wanted to charge me more than 1/2 of what was left on the contract. Even after we discussed the fact that they were not living up to their part of the deal (guarantee lead per month.
I have since used all the money I was putting into House Values into
other forms of marketing and have made a dramatic increase in my business.
Just remember there are three ways to get clients. 1) Go out and get them yourself. 2) massive or bulk mailing (way to expensive) 3) Pay someone else to get them for you, and there is no guarantee on the quality of those leads you will waste time on. For my money...I go get them myself.
