Unhappy Homes.com Experience - Jun. 15, 2006

Hello,

I am a very unhappy customer from Homes.com and will like to share my experience I never received notification that my domain name was expired and I am especially upset that my website now contains a link to a pornographic site trying to sell videos and subscriptions to XXX sites.

I am extremely frustrated!

I work very hard  for my reputation and all $$$ I have paid in Clicks.
This has been a nightmare experience.

I send emails to the CEO, vicepresident and Marketing director and not =
asnwer yet has been almost a week.

There are several agents that have had poor results including myself.   I was sold a site and many promises were made and the rep & supv won't answer me.  I was told IDX was included and found out that it was from an out of area realty board, so a week later, I had to buy the IDX.  My ads broke in the meantime-    I was told how happy I would be and then not one lead came through.   The site was defective and then the next thing was (after $297.00 and $199.00 IDX) a notification to pay $1,800 for pay per click (non refundable like the site).  I didn't take it and it's been about a month and a half and I will deal with VISA to return my money because the rep from Homegain went on my site, my name wasn't appearing (and they gave me a different site than I chose) unless you clicked the refresh button..  I tried to get my money back but they won't answer me..........IF AN AGENT DIDN'T KNOW IT OR CHECK, HE PROBABLY HAS IDX FROM AN OUT OF AREA BOARD, WHICH IS NOT REALLY ETHICAL.     I was also told I could add a "landing page" to my site but was told it was another $60.00 so I decided to quit while I was ahead.     .

re: Unhappy Homes.com Experience - Mar. 7, 2007

I'm sorry to say that my experience with Homes.Com has not been a good one.    When I elected to end our relationship, I emailed and faxed the company & expected my site to be removed in Dec. 06.  In Nov 06, I tried to access but it was no longer online so I made the assumption (wrong move) that they pulled the plug early.

I removed my domain names and put them with another firm. Homes.Com states that they have never received cancellation instructions and have continued to bill my c/c for services. Their rep in 'cancellation dept.' kept stating that she was emailing me forms for cancellation which didn't arrive even tho the email accounts were working.

Such a sad story - they have the ability to be a stellar firm.
