I had some success with it a few years ago, when it was first introduced, but didn't like the type of clients that it seemed to attract. Since they advertise with "Let Agents Compete for your business!" most prospects won't respond to you unless you promise a very discounted commission rate. Originally, Homegain had a $99/year program, but later changed to a referral fee. With the referral fee (35% ??? - I can't remember, but it seemed like a lot) it just wasn't worth bothering with.

I would rather spend my "hard earned money" on pay-per-click, or professiona SEO work.

I agree, I used homegain when I was a new realtor but quickly stopped using their services. I do not believe it's worth the $29.95 per month plus the 35% referral fee.

I did close a few transactions using homegain but while I was working with a client I had obtained from them, they would constantly hound me. I didn't like that either.

I just started a spanish speaking telemarketing company several months ago. If anyone is interested, these leads are fresh and exclusive (Trust me, i used to buy exclusive leads that I am certain were sold to different agents). We sell the leads for $35 and require at least a purchase of 10 to get started. We can customize your target market to make sure it works for you.
