I’ve been a member of By Referral Only (BRO) since 1998. It is a great program and I know several people in this community are members as well, so I hope they will speak up. It is not an inexpensive program, however, if you make just one extra sale a year as a result of it, it will pay for itself. It is highly structured and very supportive. The BRO community is extremely open and inviting and will share ANYTHING you want to know. Their website is a wealth of info. and make sure you attend the Main Event, which is three days of nothing but ideas to get your business cranked up to the next level. My head is always spinning by the second day!
They are relationship-based and are not a hard sell organization. They have proven systems for you to implement into your business, which will earn you money and eventually you won’t have to do any advertising at all and your business will be 100% referral and repeat. Mine is currently and I’m looking to grow into a team and am using the assistance of BRO to assist me in doing so with the help of my coach. BRO is just like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. If you are committed to the program and are truly open to new ideas, it will create more business for you and allow you to have a life outside of real estate and spend time doing “fun” things like traveling (my favorite) or sports, or whatever you want to do outside of real estate. It works if you truly put it to use. Feel free to contact me off-list for more info. I’m always happy to share.
Just a disclaimer, I get absolutely nothing from advocating BRO. I just believe in the program. J

Philip,
Yes, I used “BRO” (was a member) when I first got in the biz. Great people, fantastic web site chocked full of useful materials, good coaching. It taught me a lot about developing relationships and not being a transactional sales person. For me, new in the business 8 years ago it was invaluable. Joe Stumpf is a great guy.
