How about the two Meat Puppets songs that Nirvana covered in their unplugged sessions on MTV...
"Lake of Fire"
"Plateau"
Also I like the Incubus cover of Big Punisher...
Incubus - Still Not A Player (Big Pun Cover)
Cruisin' - D'Angelo
Drift Away - Uncle Kracker
Behind Blue Eyes - Limp Bizkit
American Woman - Lenny Kravitz
An interesting note (to me anyway): just heard on Sirius 16 (The Vault) that the Flying Burrito Bros version of "Wild Horses" was the original, having been recorded 1 year prior to the Stones. Jagger & Richards wrote it and gave it to Gram Parsons to record and then THEY covered it.
tori amos' "i'm on fire"...does the boss well. :)
