A Bright Idea
Are you ready to take the plunge and remodel you bathroom? Keep lighting in mind when making plans. Recessed lighting fixtures may be a popular recent home trend, but they can often leave you in a "shadow trap" when illuminating your new room. Focused lighting such as halogen or floodlights creates unwanted shadows in your new bathroom design, making it look spooky rather than inviting.
To avoid this lighting pitfall, use a soft-focused or diffused light fixture and mount it at eye level or just above, Positioning light this way will cause it to shine at your face, not down from above, Other types of light, such as decorative or recessed lamps also can combat shadows.
If you do choose recessed lighting, place the lights close to the mirror and center them above the faucet. A dimmer switch at the vanity area helps control the lighting, allowing you to adjust the day and nighttime levels. Follow these steps and you'll be brilliantly pleased with your new bathroom. |

Cosmo the Pirate ARRRRRRR! and and Mr. Quincy The Hairless

Chinese Crested dogs a history
The Chinese Crested is believed to have evolved from the African hairless dogs. They were later reduced in size by the Chinese. The Chinese Crested has the unique feature of having sweat glands, like humans, instead of sweating through the tongue like other dog breeds.
The Crested was used on ships in the 1700's to eliminate flea infested vermin which were know to carry the plague.
There are three types of Chinese Crested: 1) the hairless, like Quincy & Cosmo in the pictures. They are basically hairless except for the crown on their head, the tail and the feet. 2) the hairy hairless. These Cresteds generally have longer hair on their face, tail and legs and hair on other areas of their body. The hairy hairless are the ones you see in dog shows, they are shaved where the unwanted hair is. 3) the powderpuff. This Crested has a full silky coat of hair .
We playfully reefer to our Cresties as velcro dogs because they like to stick close to you. They are cuddle bugs that make wonderful pets. They are very loyal and full of personality. They come in all colors and sizes, ranging from 4 lbs to 17 lbs. Visit www.Crest-Care.com to see all of these precious dogs we have up for adoption right now.
