BAYSIDE HISTORICAL SOCIETY
NOW OFFERING FALL WATER COLOR WORKSHOP

bAYSIDE, ny - The Bayside Historical Society is now accepting registration for an eight-week water color workshop to be held at the Castle in Fort Totten Park on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning September 12.
Taught by award-winning painter and illustrator John Tomaselli, the program is open to those of all experience levels. The lessons will cover introductions to the materials and basic drawing and composition skills, as well as lay a foundation of techniques to use in painting watercolors from life. Individualized instruction will also be available to those with more advanced skills or those interested in learning to paint figures and portraits. When weather permits, some sessions may be held outdoors on the grounds of historic Fort Totten Park .
The fee is $150, payable to the Bayside Historical Society prior to the first class, and students are responsible for their own materials. To register, or for more information, call 718-352-1548.
This program is made possible, in part, by funding from NYS Senator Frank Padavan, NYC Councilmember Tony Avella, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York .
The Bayside Historical Society is located within Fort Totten Park , in Bayside, NY, and is easily
accessible by public transportation (Q13 or Q16 bus to Fort Totten ) and by car: Cross Island Parkway North to exit 32 ( Bell Blvd. ). A New York City landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, the Bayside Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of Bayside and offers a variety of cultural and educational programs, exhibits and events for the community. Visit the Society online at baysidehistorical.org.
