Both the hospitalized children and adult staff at St. Mary's Hospital for Children in Bayside have Christmas holiday wish lists.

St. Mary's treats children from birth to 18-years-old many who stay there for extensive periods of time and have extremely serious illnesses and disabilities. For patient safety and infection control purposes, St. Mary's is unable to accept stuffed animals, toy weapons, and used items. Toys that are always welcome include: CD players/DVD players, dolls, educational toys, portable game systems, etc.

In addition to children's toys, gifts of financial contributions are gratefully welcomed and can make a significant difference in the lives of St. Mary's children and their families. Items such as $ 10-increment gift cards for entertainment rentals, movie tickets, $ 25 Metro Cards to help families without cars be able to visit their hospitalized children are just a few of the items on St. Mary's wish list.
