"Develop Your Nose: Spain vs. USA" wine tasting class will be given by the Astor Center in New York City on June 18, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Spend an evening with David Lombardo, wine and beverage director of the famed restaurant Landmarc, as he reveals the secrets of recognizing and understanding aromas of classic wine varietals. Participants will not only be tasting eight different wines but experiencing the aromas of coffee, kiwis, grapefruits, green peppers as they relate to these wines.
They will also learn to sniff out the differences between varietals grown in different regions and see how the same grape expresses itself differently in Spain versus in California. Bread and cheese will be served but David suggests that the participants line their stomach beforehand.
