No Cost Mammograms available in Forest Hills, Queens on September 23rd |
It's very clear that early detection of breast cancer is crucial in saving lives. To aid in accomplishing this important goal, the office of State Senator Joseph Addaabbo recently announced that a Mobile Mammography Van will be stationed outside of Community Board 6 which is located at 73-05 Yellowstone Blvd. in Forest Hills on Wednesday, September 23rd.
An advanced appointment is necessary and women to be eligible must be at least 40 years old and have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months. If women have Medicare, Medicaid or other insurance, they should bring appropriate cards with them, Uninsured women will be covered by the New York State Cancer Services Program.
