All about what life is like living in Carova; the only place I know on the East Coast where you can live at the beach, away from commercialization, and among wild horses.
A while back I did a post about how often I get asked if I have make sure it's not high tide when driving on the beach. You can check it out here. My usual response it I have never been in a situation where I couldn't get down the beach, although I have probably been in a couple of situations where I should have tried. This week we have seen some of those tides. So I thought I would take some video footage to give you a sample of what the beach can be like on those rare occasions. I hope that you enjoy.
July has been a slow blogging month for me and it has been quite a while since I have done a "Warm & Fuzzy" post. Things have been very busy for me with my buyer clientele growing almost as fast as my seller clientele. It is sometimes hardest to enjoy the beach when you live here. Working so hard to make enough money so that you can afford to stay here.
Then that thing happens to reminds you of why you came here in the first place. For me this month it was a visit from my niece Jennifer. Company is always a good way to force yourself tp slow down and take a breather. It is also a good way to see the wonders of the Outer Banks all fresh again in another's eyes.
Jennifer didn't get to stay long, but she had a sun time and even made up a little video capturing one of the highlights of her visit. She emailed it to me & I would like to share it with you. She calls it When harry Met Sally.
Boy did I have an interesting drive home from my open house on the 4th of July. I knew it was going to be interested so I decided to record the trip to show how the beach can be on a bad day in summer.
This is a 10 minute video showin our 2 mile drive from the recycling center to our house. Along the way we saw a heard of the Corolla Wild horses had found their way into our new Carova beach Park. If you want to jump straight to the horses, it is at about 2:30 into the video.Sorry But I don't know how to edit it out yet.
Look Out because I'm starting to get into this video stuff. I was going to the office this morning, and I found a section of beach that was littered with......something. It turned out to be like a packed dirt, but it is not something that I had noticed on the beach before. If anyone know about this stuff & how it gets to be there, please comment & let us know.
