HB 1305 Coastal Insurance Plan

House Bill 1305 made sweeping changes to the NC Coastal Insurance Plan. These changes will not only protect the integrity of the plan, they will also protect all NC rate payers in the future. The changes made include the following:

Judge Grants Motion To Stay Beach Plan Increases

Some great news - Superior Court Judge William Pittman issued an order last Friday afternoon that imposes a stay all Beach Plan/Fair Plan surcharge increases and 2% deductible until the case can be heard on it’s merits!

You Can’t Get Flood Insurance Up There Right?

There was a time when FEMA provided flood insurance for the “Off Road” beaches of Carova. Then later on they designated to whole area a CBRA Zone (Coastal Barrier Resources Act)
