I was looking for a place to leave a typically cool Gene Molloy type comment on Bonnie Erickson's Blog, but I could not find one. It's not because she doesn't have the kind of content I can sink my teeth into, on the contrary, she has some really great stuff. So good in fact, that I decided to just give you the link and let you see for yourself. She has an enrty on panhandlers that I am sure some of my Chicagoland readers can relate to.

You may have noticed that I have been pointing you to REALTORSŽ in other parts of the good old USA. That is just in case any of you are considering moving somewhere else. Due to my interaction on some groovy real estate listservs I am able to get insight from agents all over the United States and Canada. As of late, there are a lot of Real Estate Bloggers I've come in contact with as well. I pick the cream of the crop, the ones that I would use personally if I was relocating, and I pass them on to you. Just remember, should you happen to interact with any of them, tell them Gene sent you.

As always if you somehow got on my blogs mailing list and you find that to be repulsive just let me know and I will delete you. On the other hand, if you read my blog and would like to be on the list so you will be sent new entries via e-mail, let me know that as well. You will be added.

'Hearts in Atlantis' by Stephen King.. a twisted tale of panhandling for profit is just one of the story threads (the movie does NOT have this thread.) For more details visit Bonnie's blog. Gee whiz... I got carried away with my literary criticism in a comment there. Your blog emailed to me reminded me I was trying to find the book title before commenting on Bonnie's blog. Googled it... Gene, Thanks for the comments about my blog and thanks for adding me to your e-mail list. It's so much easier to get new posts this way! I spent 4 years in the windy city and it was colder than any winter I've ever experienced in Minnesota. There's something about the wind coming off the lake and crossing the "el" platform that just penetrates every bone in your body. We haven't visited for years although we have friends in Des Plaines. The biggest mistake I ever made in real estate was not holding the Lombard vacant lot that we inherited. We sold it for nickels to a developer because we couldn't afford the taxes! I obviously wasn't in real estate then!
